On April 17, 2009, The Arkansas Academic Advising Network (ArkAAN) presented Trevor Francis with the "Outstanding Academic Advisor" award for 2009. Trevor is the Associate Director of the Fulbright Advising Center here at the University of Arkansas. He has been a part of the advising center team for almost five years, and has also earned a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership at the university. Some of the qualities ArkAAN looks for in a potential recipient of the award are "a strong interpersonal skills; a caring, helpful attitude toward advisees, facutly and staff; mastery of institutional regulations, policies, and procedures; and the ability to engage in, promote, and support developmental advising."
