My Registration

My Registration Dates

FALL: Priority registration for Spring term begins at the end of October
SPRING: Priority registration for Summer and Fall terms begins at the end of March

The date I actually register usually depends on my total hours completed. I can click on Registration Periods for my exact registration date.

I should contact my advisor several weeks in advance of my advising date to insure I register for appropriate classes.

How to Register

I can click here for step by step instructions for registering on ISIS.

Why Can't I Add Classes?

There are many registration holds that can be attached to my ISIS account that will prevent me from being able to add classes.

Advising: This hold is typically assigned to students below 30 hours and all readmitted students regardless of hours. In order to remove this hold, I need to see my advisor.

Academic Standing: This hold is typically assigned to students whose cumulative gpa is below a 2.00 regardless of hours and Good Standing status. For more detailed description of Academic Standing, click here. In order to remove this hold, I need to see my advisor.

Student Accounts: This hold is typically assigned to students who have outstanding balances from tuition or housing. Outstanding balances can be paid by using “My ISIS Account”or by contacting the Student Accounts Office, 575-5651.

Parking/Transit: This hold is typically assigned to students who have unpaid parking tickets. To remove this hold, contact Transit and Parking at 479-575-PARK, or pay online.

Judicial Board: This hold is typically assigned to students who have been referred for disciplinary action. To have this hold removed, contact the Office of Community Standards and Student Ethics.

Health Center: This hold is typically assigned to students who have outstanding Health Center bills or missing immunization records. To have this hold removed contact the Health Center at 575-4451.

Pre- or Co-requisites: A pre-requisite is a required class that must be taken and passed in order to prepare me for the higher level course. If I have taken, or am taking, the prerequisite and ISIS blocks me from registering for the higher level course, I need to contact the department offering the course. Co-requisite classes are designed to compliment each other. In order to register for co-requisite classes, I must add an open section of each class at the same time.

Out of Career: Occasionally, upper division courses are offered to both Graduate and Undergraduate students. Even though the class may appear to be open by the green box, the undergraduate seats may already be full.

How to Request an Override

Overrides can only be obtained through the department offering the course. Students seeking overrides should visit the departmental secretary in order to receive an override form. Overrides are not guaranteed as the class may not be able to accommodate more students. To enroll in an out-of-career class, complete the out-of-career registration form.
